Hi all (especially Dan),

In talking about the owen sound new year's teen dance we discussed what
would be necessary for a database and concluded that while dbm would be
sufficient as far as size goes, we would need a real database because
of concurrent access issues. I think I have found a nice example that
I can build on which shows how to do dbm database locking. It's at:
http://www.perl.com/doc/manual/html/lib/DB_File.html#Locking_Databases

Being able to use DBM hashes in Perl would make my life much easier.
In that case we just have configure to web server to not allow browsing
of the db dir, but have the appropriate file system permissions for the
cgi script to access them.

Cheers,

Daniel

And that's my crabbing done for the day. Got it out of the way early,
now I have the rest of the afternoon to sniff fragrant tea-roses or
strangle cute bunnies or something. -- Michael Devore
